Blake Hughes bio

I would like to introduce an artist to you. Blake Hughes.

For years I have been a Leo Kottke fan so when I listened to Blake's music I immediately liked it because of its similarities to Kotkee's sounds.

Catchy hooks, catchy turn a rounds- the kind of music I would listen to in a calm space and hum along to it while I close my eyes. I have been asked to listen to many records by artists in my 34 years in the record business.

I would listen to Blake's Music every day. It's melodic, tasteful and timeless.

I had no qualms about playing his Music in my store and have gotten nothing but positive feedback. One jazz collector from Italy heard it, inquired who it was and purchased it right then. I had heard Blake play guitar several months ago but didn't know he already had a recording out.

Needless to say I am impressed. I think his music will have broad appeal and cannot see anyone saying they don't like it.

I think you should give it a listen.
